OUTDOOR BIRTHDAY PARTIES

Created for children and young people. Three hours of activity and fun in the woodland; we follow the interests of the birthday boy or girl- but here’s a suggested itinerary:

  • After a quick introduction we’ll play some games to familiarise ourselves with the forest, before chopping the some wood so we can have a campfire
  • We do some fire lighting – and possibly have a challenge or two!
  • There’s be time to play on the rope swings, and possibly throw some axes or shoot some arrows
  • Suitable for those aged 5 years upwards, for 12 children, including the birthday girl or boy plus friends

We provide a picnic/snack style food, that children can easily eat int he forest, so we can then do more activities, but we will also have the campfire classic- s’mores. 

Vegetarian and vegan options are also available. Please let us know if you have any allergies or intolerances. 

There’ll also be juice and hot chocolate available. The only thing you’ll need to bring is the cake!

All of our parties take place at our Dunsdale site, which is at Rewilding Adventure, Redcar Road, Dunsdale, TS14 6RH.

We often get asked if adults can stay, or do they need to stay? All parents are welcome to stay. We’d ask that parents of the birthday boy or girl stays – and suggest parents of younger children stay.

Often parents want to join in as well!

There are two options here…

  • Up to 12 children coming (£180)
  • Up to 24 children coming (£340)

If you’d like to stay longer than 3 hours, then we can add axe throwing, archery or rifle shooting to a Bushcraft Birthday Party- just ask!

There’s two ways we schedule birthday parties:

  1. We schedule regular birthday party slots; you can simply click this link to see the birthday slots we have available. Select the date and time, and you can book straight away!
  2. If none of the dates above suit you, then drop us a message via the Contact Form below with a date you’d like, and we’ll do our best to get a date as close to it as possible!

Please let parents know this will be an outdoor birthday, with attending children dressing for the weather with sturdy footwear. A jumper is a good idea even on the warmest of days, with a waterproof coat, hat and gloves being required during colder weather. 

You may wish to print and share these information slips with the invitations you send out; they contain some helpful details of the party.

Target Sports Party


Created for children and young people.

  • Pick from axe throwing, archery and rifle shooting.
  • We do an hour and half of the activity, followed by food, then some more of the activity.
  • Suitable for those aged 7 years upwards, birthday boy or girl plus up to 7 friends.

The food for our Target Sport parties is usually snack based picnic food, that they can eat without the need to light fires and cooks, so that they get more time shooting, throwing axes or loosing arrows. 

Vegetarian and vegan options are also available. Please let us know if you have any allergies or intolerances. 

The only thing you’ll need to bring is the cake!

All of our parties take place at our Dunsdale site, which is at Rewilding Adventure, Redcar Road, Dunsdale, TS14 6RH.

Numbers for the Target Sports parties are reduced compared to the Bushcraft Parties- this is so everyone gets enough turns on the activity!

  • Up to 8 children coming (£180)
  • Up to 16 children coming (£340)- if this number come, the we will likely split them into 2 groups, so they can undertake two activities!

Adult Birthday Parties


Adult birthday parties tend to be a more involved affair; we’ve celebrated 21st, 30th, 40th and 50th birthdays around the fire- you can even make a weekend of it and stay in the luxurious yurts of Baby Moon. Whatever you’re interested in, then it’s best to get in touch and we’ll tailor a package to your desire. 

Experience the feeling of freedom in the wilderness on the special day.

  • You can book one of our scheduled 3 hour ‘Birthday Slots’ via the booking page for 12 people; and come with your family ad friends
  • Pick from axe throwing, archery and rifle shooting.
  • Come together and do an afternoon of spoon carving, have a campfire dinner, some target sports or a combination of a few activities.
  • Whatever adventures you’d prefer, for whatever time you have available, we can make a really special occasion.

Yes! We can include food  a key part of the experience, such as cooking a hearty meal over the flames of the fire you’ve lit! Or we can supply some snack food and tasty treats, so that you can focus on spoon carving, axe throwing or the activity you have chosen!

There’s no set number really, ultimately, for an adult birthday party it’s about balancing the numbers attending, the activities you’d like to do and making sure we have enough staff onsite to suitably engage all your friends and family.

As a minimum, we’d suggest 8 attendees, the most we’ve hosted is almost 60 people. Get in touch to discuss your plans.

Our aim is to ensure that all activities are safe. If someone wants a glass of wine with lunch or a beer with the barbeque, then that’ll be OK- we’d ask you to keep the serious drinking until the end of the day.

Generally for adult birthday parties, because they are so bespoke, we’ve had a conversation about what you’d like and have develop a unique experience- from this, we either create private booking on the website and share with you, or provide an invoice and booking email- rather than going through our online shop.
